Ron Czerny, CEO of Playphone, who previously chaired MEF’s LatAm Chapter, was elected North America Chair by the new Board and Filipe Roup Rosa, Business Development Director at Boku, was elected as MEF LatAm Chair.
Former MEF North America Chair, Gary Schwartz was re-elected to the regional Board and will take up the role of Special Representative to MEF Global to drive m-Commerce and growth initiatives.

Upon his re-election, Ron Czerny said: “I am very proud of what has been achieved by MEF LatAm in the last two years; but for me it is just the beginning and I will continue to support MEF’s development now as North America Chair. I am glad to see that there is more and more focus on emergent markets such as Latin America as this region represents more than 600 million people which is great opportunities for businesses in the mobile industry
